On November 9, 2015, the Indian-based furniture retailer Maitreya was named the new furniture brand of India.
The move will bring MaitREya’s brand to the Indian market, after having previously focused on Indian brands in India.
Mait REIT is currently focused on expanding into India.
The company was founded in 2013 in the US by a team of three brothers, Rahul, Rahul Sharma and Manish.
Since its inception, the company has made its mark with the likes of Tango, Mait, Mango, Chantilly, Nani, Khaibara, and MaitAway.
In addition to Mait’s new name, Mankato-based Furniture Bazaar has also taken the brand up, and the brand is now a part of the Indian brand group.
However, the brand will continue to be Mait brand.
In a statement, MANKATO-based company said that the brand “is the flagship brand for Mait and Mango” and is synonymous with “furniture, furnishings and accessories”.
“Furniture Bazaars have been around for more than 60 years and they are synonymous with the Maitriya brand,” Mankatato- based company added.
With MaitBazaar coming to India, Mirella and her husband, Rahul are now going to be focusing on expanding to other parts of India, including other markets like the US and Europe.
Mirella will also be taking over the leadership of the brand after Rahul.
